Managed Creative Services’ UI/UX Design team. Provided creative direction and strategic design leadership for S&P Capital IQ digital products. Collaborated with cross-functional project teams on the user interface and user experience of new product enhancements with an emphasis on visual design.

  • Partnered with Product and Platform Managers to integrate legacy S&P Capital IQ and legacy SNL content onto the S&P Global Market Intelligence 1.0 platform with the objective of increasing scalability and decreasing development effort and time to market.
  • Initiated the effort to redesign and modernize the user interface of the S&P Capital IQ platform. Oversaw the creation and maintenance of the S&P CIQ Modernization Style Guide which documented the visual design and UI patterns of the platform.
  • Partnered with cross-functional product and development teams to rebuild and simplify the UI/UX of S&P Capital IQ’s ChartBuilder app. Improved user experience by creating an intuitive, elegant UI/UX for basic charts with easy access to advanced capabilities and flexibility for power users.
  • Provided UI/UX direction to redesign and rebuild S&P Capital IQ’s Portfolio Attribution app which enables users to create highly customizable dashboards and generate reports to help analyze what drives their portfolio’s performance. Ensured final designs were intuitive and met clients needs.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional project teams to create wireframes and visual prototypes to determine how to best present S&P Capital IQ content as an additional distribution channel on Symphony’s secure messaging platform.

Senior Manager, Art & Design

Supervised team of design and UI/UX specialists to provide high quality, innovative design services for S&P Capital IQ’s products and marketing collateral consistent with the corporate brand guidelines. Defined product user interfaces, translated business requirements into appropriate and successful user interface designs, visualized product concepts and wireframes using detailed mockups and prototypes.

  • Collaborated with large cross-functional teams to create the NxGen UI for the S&P Capital IQ platform based on a design language system created by frog Design. Resulting design consisted of a new, innovative operating system with a robust collaboration capability and a mobile component. Responsible for the UI/UX and visual design of the Investment Management suite of apps, the Executive Dashboard and Company Tearsheet.
  • Partnered with the Ratings Market Development team to create the S&P CreditMatters iPhone and iPad apps. These apps provided an easy way to keep up with S&P’s global perspective on important credit market developments and were part of a digital marketing program that received a McGraw-Hill Corporate Achievement Award.
  • Partnered with cross-functional teams to create the Credit Health Panel on the Global Credit Portal which was an innovative approach of visualizing data to analyze a company’s risk and how it performs relative to its peers. New design received a Bronze Team ACE Award for “great UI designs, meticulous testing, and a high quality deliverable with absolutely zero defects.”
  • Responsible for design management and art direction of CreditWeek, a weekly 80+ page financial trade magazine, as well as various types of sales tools and marketing collateral including: print advertising, banner ads, fact sheets, quick reference guides, product bulletins, folders, brochures, direct mail pieces, white papers, posters, tradeshow booths, specialty items, and e-newsletters.
